Gargoyles Love Chicken

One of my favourite things about a gothic cathedral are the gargoyles. There were plenty of gargoyles at the Dom Cathedral in Utrecht.

Bosch and a Chicken

I visited the City of Den Bosch.

The painter, Heronimus Bosch came from this area (his paintings included The Garden of Earthly Delights and Ship of Fools). He often painted animals wearing clothes to represent people.

I love this statue which is made in the style of his paintings. Now I wonder if I can find a chicken statue?

Chicken in a Windmill

Here I am in the Netherlands: land of the windmills. In old times, windmills were used to help move water from one place to another.

A Chicken’s Taste in Art

I love a good piece of art, especially if there are fowl in it. So when in Amsterdam, I couldn’t miss an opportunity to visit the Rijks Museum.

A wonderful day, climbing Holy Mountain (Heiligenberg) near Heidelberg, Germany. I climbed the tower of a 1094AD cloister ruin. (Can you find me?). I think I need to improve my flying skills.

I had a wonderful day squawking it up in Strasbourg, France.

I learned a few things too.

Did you know the French National anthem called La Marseillaise was actually written in Strasbourg not Marseille? It’s true!
